Consuming enough alcohol that it impairs the quality of your life and then continue to persist in drinking alcohol in spite of these negative consequences. This is what it means to be an alcoholic.

Once you’ve reached the stage where alcohol is costing you more than money, the cost is too high.

Yes, it costs money to be admitted to a professional detoxification clinic where trained medical staff can attend to you ensuring that some of the associated withdrawal symptoms are adequately and safely managed.

Making you comfortable through the detoxification process and also making sure that the potential life threatening consequences of an alcohol withdrawal are appropriately managed and avoiding the potential dangers, costs money!

Detoxification for an alcoholic without the right medical assistance could physically involve:

A headache,
Stomach upset,
Feeling nauseous and vomiting,

Psychological symptoms such as

Anxiety & nervousness,
Shaking
Mood swings

Other Alcohol withdrawal symptoms can include an increase in temperature, heart beat and breathing tempo.

It is advisable to contact a medical doctor to prescribe medication to alleviate these withdrawal symptoms especially if you experience any of the following:

Disturbed sleep or insomnia,
Nightmares if you can sleep,
A loss of appetite,
Sweaty palms / clammy skin,
Out of control eyelid movements and dilated pupils.

A small portion of drinkers suffer the following serious alcohol detoxification symptoms:

Seizures,
Hallucinations,
Delirium tremens,
Anxiety, confusion and hallucinations.

If experiencing any of the above symptoms – don’t waste any time in contacting a medical professional today to arrange for an admission to a alcohol detoxification clinic.

Please do not try to stop drinking on your own at home without medical assistance. If you’re consuming enough that you fell shaky and start to sweat without the alcohol please seek medical attention and find an alcohol detoxification clinic near you.

Alcohol can be so expensive it’s costing you more than money; however it can be an amazingly versatile product. It’ll work well to remove stains from your clothes, however when drinking enough of it – it’ll remove the clothes from your back!

If drunk in sufficient quantity it’ll remove the love from your home, furniture from the house, carpets off the floor, food from your children’s table, the lining of your stomach, the vision from your eyes and judgment from your mind.

Drink enough alcohol and it very well may remove your good reputation, good jobs, good friends, the happiness from your children’s eyes and hearts, perhaps even your freedom, power of choice and sanity.

Yes, alcohol is a great remover.

We can help you save more than money by finding the best alcohol rehab centre for you today. When in a stable, contented recovery from alcoholism, how long do you think it would take to save the money spent form not drinking to have paid for the rehab that got you well?

There is a Cost to Not Getting Help

Research has shown that alcoholics are more likely to live in poorer areas and to perform badly at work and that those who stop drinking generally move into better areas and do better at work, earning more money.

Alcohol abuse affects the body and mind negatively and increases the risks of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and mental illness. This cost is more than money. How much would you pay for your lungs, liver or kidney?

Heavy drinking is often associated with ugly and expensive conflicts with the law resulting in costly legal expenses.

The Cost of Rehab is Worth It

Unfortunately alcohol abuse has painful repercussions, including the costs of treatment; however the benefits definitely outweigh the initial financial outlay in the long run.

All those with drinking problems require treatment, but unfortunately too many choose to continue in their destructive patterns of alcohol abuse.

Those who choose a detox from alcohol need to know that treatment is available to them.

Okay. So my mother went into the hospital on Monday because of a stomach ulcer caused by an alcoholic addiction that she has. She had a surgery for it and is now in the hospital recovering. I live 300 miles away from the hospital. I went to spend time with her and family on Monday and Tuesday. Then I returned home (for work).

I called my sister this afternoon just to get a status update. My mother is on medicine to help with detoxification from alcohol. And she is doing alright. So I told my sister that I don’t plan to go there this weekend because we’re under a tornado watch and flash flood watch. My sister sighed and said OK. Then about 30 seconds later the tone of her voice started escalating as she was telling me how she wishes that I could help out more. I told her to please calm down and she then said “I’m just irritated with you. I’m going to hang up now. Goodbye.”

I would help if I know help is needed but she gets mad at me and gives up. Any advice?

I’m looking for an alcohol detox program – and I prefer a place that is here in Loves Park, Illinois. My boyfriend, Matt, has an alcohol problem. It all started when his brother Joey passed away. Matt and Joey are very close – they’re partners in crime, they’re bestfriends, and they’re brothers. Joey died because of a car accident last March. Matt was supposed to pick up his brother from his dorm and drive him back home but he wasn’t able to do that because he had to play with his band at a local club. Joey came from a party and he drove his own car… well, drunk. He fell asleep while driving and he crashed into another car. Joey died during the accident and Matt never forgave himself for choosing a gig over his brother. Because of his guilt, Matt drowned himself in alcohol. After months of persuasion, I finally convinced him to undergo a detoxification program. Please help us.

It will be very difficult for you to find an alcohol treatment program in New Mexico that does not include a detoxification phase. This is quite a different trend from other states. While in other states you will find a large number of holistic and spiritual programs for alcohol de-addiction that do not use any form of detox (some may use herbal detox methods at the most), the alcohol detoxification program in New Mexico figures very prominently.

Let us take a deeper look at how the alcohol detoxification program in New Mexico is implemented and what its purposes are.

Alcohol Detox in New Mexico – What does it mean?

The simplest definition of the alcohol detoxification program is that it is a treatment process in which the body of the person is completely cleansed from the presence of the addictive substance. This is done by first making the person abstain and live in a completely healthy manner and then by providing medications that will help the body come out of the cravings for the alcohol completely.

Detox is done for various reasons in New Mexico. It is very commonly performed for removing addictive substances such as alcohol and various drugs from the body of the person. It is also a common procedure for people who are undergoing weight loss programs and is an important part of colon cleansing procedures. When applied to alcoholism, detox mainly targets removal of alcohol from the body of the person.

Alcohol Detox in New Mexico – How is it performed?

The first step is to make the person isolated from all kinds of familiar places and people, which include the family of the patient. They are kept away from anything that might trigger a craving for alcohol in them. Then they are made to completely abstain from using alcohol and are put on a healthy lifestyle, including their diet.

Once the patient is kept away from the alcohol, within a day or two, he or she will experience a strong attraction to consume the substance. This craving will come on strongly, and in some cases, it will manifest itself in physical symptoms. This stage is known as the withdrawal. This is considered to be the most difficult phase of the addiction to treat and requires careful medicinal approaches to both stabilize the patient’s body and mind and to reverse the effects of withdrawal and make the person healthier.

Medications such as Antabuse are very commonly used in the alcohol detoxification program in New Mexico. The main purpose of this drug is to reduce the craving that the person experiences. A regular treatment of Antabuse is essential because it reduces the pleasurable effects that the substance produces and enhances the troublesome effects such as the hangover. The second medication used is Campral, the main intention of which is to reduce the chemical imbalances that take place in the brain. In that manner, this medication helps in rejuvenating the senses and to keep the person away from the addiction.

Alcohol Detox in New Mexico – What are the purposes?

The purposes of alcohol detoxification are different in different parts of the world. When this treatment is carried out in New Mexico, the intention is to completely cleanse the body of the person from the presence of the substance in their bodies. Detoxification here is said to be successful only if the person’s liver, kidneys and the bloodstream are freed completely from the alcohol present in it.

This is done mainly to prevent any health complications from occurring in the person. Alcohol does not get metabolized in the body immediately and all at once. It takes time. Some of it remains as it is in various parts of the body. If it remains in this manner, it will only create further problems in the body. Even if the person gives up the alcohol habit later on in life, he or she might develop some health complications later on in life, such as the notorious cirrhosis of the liver. Hence it becomes extremely essential to cleanse the person’s body of the alcohol that is present in it.

Also, there is the point that alcohol detoxification can actually speed up the recovery process. If the person’s body retains alcohol, it will not be able to overcome the inclination to have more alcohol pumped into it. However, if the alcohol is removed completely, the person will find it better to lose the craving for the substance.

I recently started a new job at a center for detoxification and rehabilitation for those with alcohol and drug dependency. Soon I will be running my own groups and I need different topics to make things interesting and fresh. Any ideas?
