I think it would be good to do this for your friend. The main aim of an alcohol intervention is to make the alcoholic realize what alcohol does to him and help him accept treatment for his addiction. A process like this can be done by a few close friends and family members or you can get an intervention specialist to help you in facilitating the intervention. For some, this is often the first step to recovery, so I think it’s worth a try to do this.
It’s to give them a buzzkill.
Nosy busybodies in your life want to control your actions and feel that alcohol is destroying your life – so they get to gether to confront and shame you into entering rehab so they can remind you the shit for the rest of your days… (usually because they can’t have fun, so why should you) – ask if they want help first before you interfere with something so drastic….
